Core Typography: wikibook "19.5"

This is a project when we are asked to design a book from already-exist materials including texts and at least 12 images. Size is limited to certain choices and I choose to go with the pocket size book. Also, we are only allowed to print B&W for the inner page but any colour for the cover. The original plan was to print via a print-on-demand service while due to quality concern, the final product is printed and bound by myself. French fold is designed to provide a soft feeling while flipping through the book and also to avoid the inaccurate double-sided printing.

Instead of doing a book about fond issues, I decided to make a book of my journals with my works including photos, illustrations and designs. All journals are originally published on my website and are partially trilingual. The style is pretty much set from the very beginning. The only concern for me, I will say, is to deal with the relationship between different languages in this book. I had various trials trying different layouts and font sizes, etc, to finally get a pleasing effect.

In terms of the content and how it affects the form, I still would like to keep an open and airy feeling that somehow corresponds my photo book "19".
